Tiger Meet Cambrai 17/05

The 50th anniversary of the annual NATO Tiger Meeting was held at Cambrai.

For this year's hosting Squadron, the French Escadron de Chasse 01.012 Cambrésis, it was the 7th and last time that it would host the Meeting as that Squadron is disbanded on March 30th, 2012.

As EC 01.012 was one of the founding members of the NATO TIGER meet it was only appropriate that they would be given the honors one last time, before saying farewell to Cambrai.

Oostwold 13/06

This bi-annual event is up to its 6th edition this year.

Weatherwise, it could have been better, but taking into account the weather surrounding the airport, it could have been a lot worse as well.

Nevertheless, the organisation managed to obtain again this year a great selection of attracting participants for their show, such as three (3!) P-51 Mustangs, a Spitfire, a Bearcat and a Fury!

Koksijde International Airshow 06-07/07

A lot of anniversaries were celebrated at the Koksijde airshow, notably the 65th anniversary of the Belgian Air Force, the 40th anniversary of Search and Rescue operations, 35 years of the nearly retired Sea King and 40 years of the Alouette III.

As a result, the organizers really went berzerk and showed some incredible out-of-the-box thinking.

Magnificent in the way that the entire team at IWM Duxford succeeded in attracting some exquisit warbirds once more and sad because of the tragic loss of another warbird.
